Monday night

Ed's attending a seminar in Seattle this week, so we've been spending a lot of time together. It's rather like being a real couple again.

The steroid taper has left me in the doldrums. Energy levels are sub-par and general malaise is up. I'm trying to get used to another "new normal".

Basically everything is OK here.

Time to be quiet together. That's a good thing too!

Sometimes, after many serial crises, it is hard to get adjusted to having what some might call a 'boring' - not-worth-talking-about - sane life. In a 12-step group they call this withdrawal from crisis mode and it can feel uncomfortable. I equate it to riding a cycle for several hours on rough road without stopping and when I get off, my hands are still vibrating, even though I'm not riding anymore. I am glad to hear you are adjusting - it gives me hope for the loved one I know who is going to be going through this tunnel soon.
